Current Options for VCP Certification
If you are not currently a VCP, you will be required to complete a VMware authorized training course (usually the VMware Install, Configure, and Manage course) and pass two exams, the vSphere Foundations and the VMware Datacenter Center Virtualization. We are in the middle of a version transition, so there are currently 3 ways that you go about this:
- Complete the Authorized training requirement. If you have been working in a VMware 5.5 environment, take our 5.5 Test Prep and pass the one VCP exam. This exam will be going away soon, so if this is the best path for you, do it quickly.
- Complete the Authorized training requirement. If you want to complete the VCP certification, take our Test Prep 6.0 Bundle. That will prepare you for both the Foundations 6.0 and VCP 6.0 exams.
- Complete the Authorized training requirement. If you need to pass the VCP 6.5 (a requirement of work, etc.), let us know by filling out the form below. We will notify you when our VCP 6.5 Test Prep is complete.
Please remember…The VMware Certified Professional is a 2 year certification. Regardless if you pass the 5.5, 6.0, or 6.5, you need to re-certify within 2 years before your current certification expires!
If you are confused about what you need to do to be VCP certified, please let us know by filling out the form below and one of our training/certification counselors will help you get a plan together.
